Signature Service provides the equipment you need and a convenient collection system to make recycling food waste an easy part of your life.

We provide the recycled EcoSmart plastic bucket and our own EM-1 bran. You put your food scraps and kitchen waste in the bucket. Add layers of bran to neutralize any odor and naturally repel pests.

We pick up your bucket on a monthly basis, and leave a fresh bucket and more bran. We tote your bucket away, making sure it gets to the place it's needed most – local farms and gardens.

Two things are important to us when we determine our prices. One, we pay all of our employees a fair and living wage. Two, we want to make this an affordable option for everyone, so the more people involved in a community, the lower the price.

There is a startup and annual bucket fee of $15 per bucket.

Individual Supplies For those people who want to DIY, purchase EM-1 and we will provide directions to make your own bran.

We now make three varieties of bran using waste from coffee roasters and home beer brewers:

Plain bran organic wheat bran, EM-1 and molasses
Cafe bran is organic wheat bran, locally sourced coffee husks, EM-1 and molasses
Hops bran is organic wheat bran, locally sourced hops leftovers, EM-1 and molasses
