NYC Department of Sanitation does not accept many hard-to-recycle items such as, All Plastic Packaging, Cosmetics Packaging, Styrofoam™, and Coffee Capsules. As a result, we’re saving, throwing away, or contaminating curbside collections with many items too expensive for the City to collect. Today, that changes!
Vokashi Zero-Waste Service:
We have identified hundreds of common items that can be diverted into 24 easy to identify waste stream categories. Vokashi is working with TerraCycle the mega-recycler and waste innovator, as our recycling partner. TerraCycle guarantees to recycle all the accepted waste sent to them.
Vokashi stands with Beyond Plastics for a global ban on plastics. Until then, while the load is on consumers, we want to create habits that will save our precious Earth!

Community Zero-Waste Collectors & Online Community:
Vokashi will also encourage people to develop an Online Community called an Evolution Platform. Any organization, business, individual or media provider can come together to start their own Community Zero-Waste Collector business within their own neighborhoods.
