EM-1 in practice in New York
El Sol Brilliante garden on East 12th Street is leading example of community collection of EM-1 Bokashi. Neighbors drop off food scraps into 20 gallon containers adding the inoculated bran. Once the containers are filled, they are marked with close date and then used as soil amendments or for worm bins.
