Vokashi uses the Japanese method of fermentation called “bokashi”. We provide 5 gallon airtight bucket and packages of bran containing microbes (effective microbes, EM-1®) to start the fermentation process.

For your event, Vokashi will provide liaison services which include the necessary buckets and fermentation bran to handle all of the organic waste generated at your event. Vokashi will arrive one hour before the beginning of your event to set up. We will be on hand for the duration of your event and help with the cleanup at the end. We will collect and take out all buckets with food scraps and other organic waste.

Please note the following details about providing liaison service for your event.

1. Event times are billed in whole hours so, an event of three hours fifteen minutes is a four hour event duration.
2. The price quoted includes an hour for setup and an hour for teardown–thus a three hour event includes five hours of service.
3. If an event lasts longer than quoted additional hours of service are billed at $50 per hour.
4. The minimum billing is $250, if an event is quoted for more than three hours and ends earlier than planned the actual length of the event will be billed rounded up to the neared whole hour.
