Vokashi & ScanScraps Pilot
Vokashi has started an exciting program with ScanScraps. ScanScraps provides you the Vokashi subscribers with compostable bags, a kitchen container (if needed) and support through an application for your iPhone or Android smart phone to help you keep track of the amount of food scraps you have collected, valuable incentives as well as other valuable resources. Contact us for more information.
Curbside Organics Collection
Mayor Adams recently announced that the City will be implementing a curbside organics collection program. However, the curbside organics collection program will not be mandatory in the immediate future, and many building owners may refuse to participate. Our service is here to help those wanting to compost but meeting various blocks. Particularly for those living in Manhattan, there is another year before the program will even be started. Remember we take your food scraps back to the earth where they belong. Contact us for more information.
Many thanks for supporting this green service.

Vokashi
For easy composting at home
The goal Vokashi set out to achieve is to decrease the amount of food that ends up in landfills. Most of us don't think about where our food is going when we throw it in the trash, but food waste makes up about 1/3 of the waste in landfills in the US. That's a lot! Vokashi aims to change that by following a Japanese method of fermenting food waste. Vokashi takes your food waste and uses it in a composting system. There are many benefits to composting, but one of the biggest ones is lowering your carbon footprint by decreasing the amount of food waste in landfills, which reduces methane emissions. If you want to learn more about the process or how to get involved with this company, visit Vokashi.com.
